Torrington Savings Bank recently presented the New Hartford Business Council with $1,000 toward their annual scholarship fund. The donation was made at the Torrington Savings Bank New Hartford Branch during a ‘Business After Hours’ for the New Hartford Business Council.
The New Hartford Business Council offers two deserving high school graduates a $5,000 scholarship. If you are interested in donating please visit newhartfordbusinesscouncil.org/.
“When you’re a local community banker, you get to do good things like we are tonight with the scholarship. It’s nice to be part of a community and I can think of no better community to be a part of than New Hartford. We’ve been here for 6 years and when Torrington Savings Bank looked into this opportunity, clearly this was the right bank to be here and we feel that every day.” John Janco said at the event.
The two recipients of the scholarship will be awarded on June 15, 2017 at Ski Sundown in New Harftord.
